The SRM Asika Large Framelock is the biggest knife in this group. The blade runs a full 4in, so it handles jobs a small folder would struggle with. A frame lock uses part of the handle itself as the lock bar. As a result, the design is simple and strong.
The blade is 154CM stainless with a brushed finish. This is a proper mid-tier steel rather than a budget one. For a start, it holds an edge noticeably longer than the softer stainless steels. It also resists rust well. That said, it does take a little more work to bring back once it finally dulls. So it rewards a decent stone and a bit of patience.
The SRM Asika Large Framelock has a gray titanium handle. Titanium is light for its strength and it will not corrode. An extended tang gives you a thumb ramp to open against. There is a lanyard hole and a pocket clip as well.
Looking after it is simple. Wipe the blade dry after wet work, and put a drop of oil on the pivot now and then.
In short, this is a serious everyday knife. It suits anyone who wants titanium and a better steel without stepping up to custom money.
