The SRM Medal 255L-FB2 is a compact folder with a bead blast blade. It is built for pocket carry rather than heavy work. The thumb stud opens it with one hand, so you can get to it without putting anything down.
The blade is laminated 140Cr steel. Lamination sets a harder core between softer outer layers. As a result, you get a keen edge on a blade that is not brittle. The bead blast finish is matt rather than shiny too. So it hides scratches and fingerprints far better than a polished blade would.
The SRM Medal 255L-FB2 has a shredded carbon fiber handle. That gives it a marbled look rather than the flat weave you see on most carbon fiber. It also keeps the weight right down in the pocket. A pocket clip holds the knife in place, and the whole thing disappears under a shirt tail.
