The Green Squam is the knife you can still find at two in the morning. Its carbon fiber handle carries a luminous green weave that charges in daylight and glows once the lights drop. So it will not vanish into a dark pack or a truck footwell.
The blade is VG-10 at 59 to 60 HRC with a stone washed finish. VG-10 is a Japanese stainless with a real reputation behind it. For a start, it takes a very fine edge. It also holds that edge through daily cutting. In addition, the high chromium content keeps corrosion at bay. Meanwhile the stone wash hides the scratches a working knife picks up.
The Green Squam runs on ball bearings, so the blade swings out smoothly and sits with no play. At 7.2in open and 4.2in closed, it carries without shouting about itself. The 3in blade keeps it sensible for most pockets, though you should always check your own local rules.
Charge the handle under a lamp or in daylight and it lights up once you shut the lights off. Then wipe the blade dry after wet work, and oil the pivot now and then.
