Most of what we sell sits on a shelf. This page is for the orders that don’t.
If you need fifty knives for a retirement program, a run of fixed blades with Kydex sheaths for a crew that works outdoors, or something nobody stocks because nobody has asked for it yet — tell us what it needs to do and we’ll come back with what it would take.
How a business order runs
Use the form below. Nothing is binding and nothing is charged.
A person reads it and comes back with what is achievable, what we would change, any state we cannot ship to, and a price.
Quote and artwork signed off before anything is cut or marked.
Usually half the order up front, confirmed with your quote. Production starts once it is settled.
Built to your spec and marked in-house, so the engraving never leaves our hands.
We tell you when it is ready and send the second invoice for the remainder. The order ships once that is settled.
How this actually works
We won’t pretend we make knives in a back room. What we do is specify them. Our own line is built to our spec — steel, geometry, handle, finish, the lot — and the same door is open to you. You describe the knife; we source it, mark it, and stand behind it.
That means you aren’t limited to what’s in stock today. Stock is where we start a conversation, not where it ends.
Start from a blank sheet
The specification form below walks through the decisions. In short, you can call:
Folding or fixed. If it’s a folder, you pick the lock — liner, frame, button or crossbar — and how it opens. If it’s a fixed blade, you pick the sheath, and whether that sheath is leather or Kydex, plus how it carries: belt, pocket, MOLLE or neck.
The blade. Style, length, finish and steel. If you know you want D2 for cutting-per-dollar, or VG-10 for a fine edge, say so. If you don’t, say “recommend for us” and we will — our knife steel comparison lays out what each one is genuinely good at, including the ones we’d talk you out of.
The handle. G10, Micarta, carbon fiber, titanium, wood.
Nothing on the form is binding. It exists so that when we call you back, we’re talking about your knife rather than asking you twenty questions you’ve already answered.
What you can specify
Drop point, tanto, clip point, sheepsfoot, spear point or wharncliffe — folding or fixed, at the length you need, in satin, stonewash, black PVD or a Damascus pattern.
D2, 14C28N, VG-10, 3Cr13, 8Cr13MoV, S45VN, M390, or Damascus over a VG-10 core. Unsure? We will recommend.
G10, Micarta, carbon fiber, titanium or wood — the same materials the form offers.
Liner, frame, button or crossbar lock. Thumb stud, flipper, two-hand manual or assisted.
Leather, Kydex or nylon on fixed blades, carried on the belt, in the pocket, on MOLLE or at the neck.
Text or a logo on the blade, or a logo on flashlights, pens and leather where there is more surface.
In the manufacturer boxes they come in, or individually gift boxed when the knife is being handed to someone. Gift boxes are quoted as their own line.
Or start from something we already make, or carry
Plenty of business orders don’t need a blank sheet. Our own line runs from a simple fixed blade through D2 and 14C28N folders to copper Damascus over a VG-10 core, titanium-handled folders and a luminous carbon fiber piece that glows after dark. There’s a folding utility knife that makes sense by the box when the job is opening cartons rather than marking an occasion.
Any of them can be engraved, boxed and shipped as a batch. If one of those is close to right and just needs a different handle or a different mark, that’s a much shorter conversation — and usually a faster one.
We carry other makers too — have a look at the brands we stock — and if you have a particular brand in mind, we can arrange that just as easily. Quantities carried by our wholesale supplier can often vary between brands. Most can be ordered in; ask on the form and we will check before quoting.
Engraving
We engrave in-house, so the marking doesn’t leave our hands and doesn’t add a third party to your timeline.
One thing worth planning around. Blade text is capped at ten characters — enough for initials, a surname, a date or a short callsign, which is what makes a blade good for a recognition piece aimed at one person.
A logo can go on the blade as well, and flashlights, pens and leather give more surface to work with if the mark is a detailed one. Tell us which you want on the form and we’ll say honestly how it will reproduce at that size before anyone commits.
Artwork isn’t uploaded through this form — we’ll ask for files once we’ve talked and know what we’re marking. Our engraving content policy covers what we will and won’t put on a blade, and it’s worth two minutes if your artwork is at all unusual.
Packaging
Knives can ship in the manufacturer boxes they come in, or individually gift boxed when each one is being handed to a person. Gift boxes cost more — the boxes are bought in and the extra bulk and weight raise the shipping — so we quote that as its own line rather than burying it. Tell us which you want and we’ll price it that way.
One honest caution on shipping
Knife law varies by state, and automatic knives in particular can’t go everywhere. If your recipients are spread across the country, that matters more than it does for a single order to one address. Our shipping restrictions page sets out where things stand, and we’ll flag it ourselves if your spec runs into it — better at quote stage than after you’ve approved artwork.
Shipping is quoted, never assumed free. The free shipping on our shop is a retail offer — it stops at 8 items or 5 lb. A bulk run weighs what it weighs, so carrier cost is quoted with everything else rather than buried, and you see the real number before you approve.
What happens next
Send the specification below and a person reads it. We’ll come back with what’s achievable, what we’d change and why, and what it costs. If we can’t do what you’re asking, we’ll say so plainly and tell you who might.
On payment. Business orders are invoiced twice, and the usual split is half and half. The first invoice is a prepayment on the bulk order, and production starts once it’s settled. When your order is ready we’ll tell you, and the second invoice covers the remainder — the goods ship once that one is settled too. We confirm the terms with your quote, so you know the exact split before you commit to anything.
