The Bestech Cicada’s Wing is a compact button lock folder with a resin handle. It measures 4.13in closed with a 3.13in blade. Press the button to open it and press it again to close, all one-handed.
The blade is 10Cr15CoMoV stainless in a satin finish. This steel sits above the entry-level grades. For a start, it takes a fine edge easily. It also holds that edge reasonably well for daily cutting. In addition, the high chromium content keeps rust at bay. So it suits a knife that lives in a pocket rather than a display case.
What sets the Bestech Cicada apart is the handle, which is blue marble resin. Resin handles are cast rather than machined from sheet, so the pattern runs right through the material instead of sitting on the surface. As a result, wear does not strip the finish off. A thumb stud gives you a second way to open it, and there is a lanyard hole and a pocket clip.
Keep it dry and oil the pivot now and then.
In short, this is a good-looking everyday folder with a handle you will not see on every knife.
